Ramblers hire familiar face as Head Coach

March 2, 2018

The Loyola Club Football team is excited to announce the hiring of Norman Perez as our new Head Coach!

After over a year away from the sidelines, Coach Norman Perez is making his coaching return in 2018 and will serve as both Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator. Coach Norm most recently served as the Ramblers linebackers coach during the 2015 season and was promoted to the Defensive Coordinator position for the memorable 2016 campaign. Coach Norm has always been known for his intense passion for the game and his fiery demeanor on the sidelines, while still maintaining his players' coach approach in the locker room.

Coach Norm began his coaching career in Chicago as an assistant wide receiver/strength and conditioning coach at Schurz High School. After a few years of coaching high school football, basketball, track and playing in the Semi Pro football ranks in the midwest, Coach Norm made his defensive coaching debut at Loyola University Chicago under the tutelage of Coach John Clarke in 2015. Having played under Coach Clarke in the Semi Pro world, Coach Norm was able to make a seamless transition from on-field athlete to sideline signalcaller.

Coach Norm’s mission at Loyola is to develop men of character and integrity while building a culture of toughness and greatness. With over 16 years of total football experience, Coach Norm is looking forward to the challenge of bringing the Loyola Ramblers back to the top of club football and beyond.
